The future or end for CgAn

TL;DR: This page will tell you what the future plans for CgAn look like, and it includes a plea for donations as we are in financial trouble. The future plans start right below this text, the donation plea is at the end of the page.

You know when it is that period when water-heater leaks, car brakes down and other stuff all on the same time give up there live on top work is not that in amount that we can afford to keep our services running without endanger our IRL cost of living.

As you may or may not know, CgAn (cyberguerrilla.org) has existed for several years now. It first went online in 2010, during Operation Tunisia: The Tunisian Revolution, also known as the Jasmine Revolution, was an intensive campaign of civil resistance, including a series of street demonstrations taking place in Tunisia.

In those years, Anonymous has changed tremendously. The types of operations have changed, but so have the channels used by people to stay up to date so have we. Again: at the end of this page, I’m going to ask you for a donation – but before you get there, you’ll learn about what the future of CgAn looks like.

So why CyberGuerrilla Anonnexus is needed
Can you rely on a corporate provider for confidentiality of your sensitive communications? Not only do they typically scan and record the content of your messages for a wide variety of purposes, they also concede to the demands of governments that restrict digital freedom and fail to have strict policies regarding their user’s privacy. Not to mention their obviously commercial interests put commercial providers at odds with what we are doing. Government’s practices “full pipe monitoring” and association mapping, which gives them the ability to build a detailed map of how our social movements are organized, worse this gives them precise information about what linkages should be disrupted in order to disrupt large social movements

We believe it is vital that essential communication infrastructure be controlled by movement organizations and not corporations or the government.

We strive to keep our communications as secure and private as we can. We do not log your IP address. (Most services keep detailed records of every machine which connects to the servers. We keep only information which cannot be used to uniquely identify your machine). All your data is stored by CyberGuerrilla AnoNneXus in encrypted form. We work hard to keep our servers secure and well defended against any malicious attack. We do not share any of our user data with anyone. We will actively fight any attempt to subpoena or otherwise acquire any user information or logs. We will not read, search, or process any of your communications other than by automatic means to protect you from viruses and spam or when directed to do so by you when troubleshooting.

The CyberGuerrilla Collective is an autonomous body based in Europe with collective members world wide. Our purpose is to aid in the creation of a free society, a world with freedom from want and freedom of expression, a world without oppression or hierarchy, where power is shared equally. We do this by providing communication and computer resources to allies engaged in struggles against capitalism and other forms of oppression.

What is special about CgAn?
Your CgAn account is a wonderful thing. Although we don’t provide as much storage quota as surveillance-funded corporate providers, CgAn has many unusual features:

We encrypt traffic whenever possible.
When you send email from CgAn to another secure email provider, the email is encrypted for its entire journey.

We don’t disclose your location to email recipients.
When you send email with CgAn, your internet address (IP address) is not embedded in the email. With corporate email providers, anyone who receives your email can figure out your approximate physical location from the internet address included in the email.

We don’t log your internet address.
Our commitment is to keep as little data on you as we can. Unlike corporate providers, we do not log internet addresses of anyone using CgAn services, including email.

Mutual aid
There is no such thing as free email. Services like gmail, hotmail, and yahoo make their money from surveillance: they build a profile on your behavior and your desires and then bombard you with advertising specifically targeted to you.
CgAn is different. This service is a labor of love by activists like you committed to building movement-run and secure alternative infrastructure. The CgAn service takes a lot of time and money to keep running, and is funded entirely by small donations from its users.

Women will continue to have abortions and the Dutch will pay for it

Last Monday, Donald Trump introduced a far-reaching anti-abortion measure, which cuts the 575 million funding of NGO’s that advise and help women with family planning and safe abortion in forty lower-income countries.

Therefore, the Dutch Minister for Development Cooperation, Lilianne Ploumen, established an International Abortion Fund, to oppose the decision of Trump immediately.

This is a fundraiser to help her get started. Let’s show them how it’s done. Click here to donate via PayPal or here to donate via Ploumen4Women.

“Banning abortion does not lead to fewer abortions. It leads to more irresponsible practices in back rooms and more maternal deaths.” – Lilianne Ploumen

All proceeds will be transferred to an international fund to benefit women in developing countries, providing access to information, contraceptives and abortions, which will be founded by the Dutch Minister for Development Cooperation, Lilianne Ploumen. All proceeds will be transferred as soon as the fund has been established. This website is affiliated with De Jonge Socialisten (Young Socialists) in de PvdA, but both this organisation as well as the Dutch Labour Party will not benefit from these proceeds.

Mirror: Concerns Over ‘Terror’ Patent Office: New Article From Dutch Media (Telegraaf)

Summary: A new report from the Dutch media reveals plans to discuss removal of the EPO’s immunity and yet more lies from the EPO’s management (this time through Jana Mittermaier)

Petra Kramer, a Dutch speaker, has just supplied us with the following article translation, having notified us of this week’s parliamentary intervention. Highlighted below in bold are important and/or new bits of information, such as Jana Mittermaier‘s utter lies (does she even hear herself? Lying has truly become the norm at the EPO, implicating not just the PR team but also Minnoye).

Concerns over ‘terror’ Patent Office

RIJSWIJK – The government and the House are very concerned about the three thousand employees of the European Patent Office in Rijswijk. All political parties want a debate now that, according to the union, “terror will continue in the workplace and this week has again claimed a victim.”

The international organisation with seven thousand employees, three thousand of whom live and work in The Hague region, is led with an iron fist by the Frenchman Benoît Battistelli. According to the union SUEPO, the staff is “systematically suppressed and silenced.”

The President directed the arrows at directors of the union, says lawyer Liesbeth Zegveld. ,,After two executives in Munich were fired earlier this year, the secretary, Laurent Prunier, is now also fired while he was sick at home,”said Zegveld. ,,The union is undermined in this way. Workers are ruined for life. There are cases of people who are removed from their offices unannounced and after speaking with the leadership left the building in a wheelchair.”

Zegveld, who has filed a lawsuit on behalf of the union at the European Patent Office, calls the upcoming parliamentary debate and the involvement of the Dutch government “encouraging” and “a turning point”. ,,The largest problem so far is that the organization enjoys immunity, so that the Netherlands can not intervene on its own territory,” said the lawyer.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs indicated Friday that the Netherlands supports plans to modernize the internal organisation, but that the implementation can and must be careful. ,,We will continue to push hard on this issue, because in our opinion it’s not going well,” said a spokesman.

The EPO rejects any accusation that the office would have targetted prominent trade unionists. ,,This is completely unfounded,” said Jana Mittermaier, spokeswoman for the EPO. ,,There is harassment and intimidation by employees towards others. Therefore, there are disciplinary actions taken wholly according to the rules of the EPO. The procedure which has been followed meets the highest international standards, as determined by independent experts.”

The EPO was in disrepute for the first time in 2014. While Prime Minister Mark Rutte gave the starting signal for the new building, it became known a strikingly high number of workers have committed suicide. Several countries of a total of 28 member States, which have reappointed Battistelli until 2018, have been critical of working conditions.

Commute Chelsea Manning’s Sentence to Time Served

cw6wmtvuuaam2ev

Chelsea Manning has been incarcerated since May 2010, including in unlawful, unusually harsh solitary confinement for 11 months before her trial. She has spent the past six years helping others.

Chelsea has already served more time in prison than any individual in United States history who disclosed information in the public interest. Her disclosures harmed no one.

President Obama, as you and the medical community have recognized, prisoners who face solitary confinement are more likely to commit suicide.

Chelsea is a woman in a men’s facility facing ongoing mistreatment. She has attempted suicide and has been punished with additional time in solitary confinement for her desperation. Her life is at risk and you can save her.

Please commute Chelsea Manning’s sentence to time served.

Chelsea Manning has been a huge boon to Anonymous, you owe it to her to sign the petition here.

Brutal government takeover of Turkey’s Zaman daily

4th of March, 2016 was one of the darkest days for Turkish democracy

And it will not be the last…

On March 4th, Turkish police brutally attacked the readers of Turkey’s largest newspaper.

Fired tear gas, water cannons…

People were there to protest the seizure of the newspaper and to show their support.

They waved Turkish flags and banners reading: “Keep your hands off my paper”

But Erdogan’s forces did not agree

Police broke down the iron gate and rushed into the building.

Scuffed journalists inside their offices.

Selahattin Sevi, Photo editor of Zaman, was beaten up; injured in the face.

Abdulhamit Bilici, Zaman’s editor-in-chief and Sevgi Akarcesme, head of Today’s Zaman were forcibly taken out.

Police broke the video cameras one by one to cut down the live broadcast from inside.

Editors have been pushed down the stairs.

That night, Turkey’s largest media group were taken over by Erdogan: Zaman Daily, Today’s Zaman, Aksiyon Magazine and Cihan News Agency were seized.

This is how he be became Turkey’s biggest media mogul.

Having executive presidency goals for the near future, Erdogan wants to block all the ways to the opposition and silence every single critical voice.

March 4 was one of the darkest stains on the history of Turkish and it will not be the last one…
